No, no – not for good. Just for a day. They are, after all, only about 30 feet thick, so it is perfectly reasonable that they should be invisible at certain angles. Apparently tomorrow is the big day when they hit exactly the right tilt for sunlight to reflect off them in a way that makes them completely – poof – invisible.

Speaking of beautiful pictures, there are really some fantastic images up at NASA right now. If you have some time, or even just a few minutes, go check it out. There is some amazing stuff up there; I especially love the lightning strike as the shuttle takes off. Absolutely fantastic.
