- Not So Current Events in Astronomy: Going Nova for 400 years
Posted on Saturday, April 11th, 2009 in astronomy current events – Comments: (1)Image Credit: MPIA/NASA/Calar Alto Observatory This star exploded more than 400 years ago. The ultra-energetic electrons of the blast’s outer shock wave are still visible as well (blue).

I decided that this week, I would let these photos of nature at work explain and justify my passion for the current events astronomy provides for our intellectual and visual amusement.
