I just finished Jim Lebans’ The Quirks & Quarks Guide to Space: 42 Questions (and Answers) About Life, the Universe, and Everything.
It was awesome.
I was never that into space and space exploration before I married YTP Spouse, who is obsessed with those subjects. I’m a lot more into it all now, but I still need to brush up from time to time to keep it all straight in my head. Plus, YTP Spouse considers theoretical particle physics a valid subject for musing on during a bike ride or over pizza, whereas I can’t really go too far in the discussion without a particle physics decoder ring. Unfortunately, I think those are still in beta testing.
However, this book is a rectangular, 240-page, blue and gray-colored decoder ring for more general space and space exploration topics. And it’s funny.
So go ahead. Buy it. Then you can talk to YTP Spouse about this stuff and I can eat my pizza in peace.
