Ocean Currents See Red

Check out the photo below produced by PhD candidate Matt Mazloff of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute. He created an ocean circulation model that revolutionizes the way scientists can see ocean currents, even those not actually being tracked by satellites. Fantastic science, and it makes a fabulous picture.
