The ongoing DNC has, predictably, churned up the blogosphere and MSM enough to generate all sorts of interesting content. Here are three worth your time: a reporting piece on the Georgia/Russia conflict (which has implications for the foreign policy discussions taking place at the DNC), a powerful video, and a short but noteworthy idea.
1) Whenever Michael Totten, independent-journalist-at-large, writes something, it is usually well researched, interesting, and unique to MSM reporting on the same subject. His latest piece from the country of Georgia is all that and more. More here being a mild and inadequate term for “I can see the writing on this wall, and let’s just say it’s a darn good thing Iraq is going well.”
2) This video, via Instapundit and Ann Althouse, is proof that a nasty primary is a serious liability.
3) And this reader comment on Outside the Beltway proposes an interesting marriage of entertainment, testing, and politics: “There’s only one way to resolve this 3 am thing: reality TV.” Read on for more.
I continue to follow Zombie at the DNC, and I have high hopes that the rest of the week will provide that intoxicating mix of serious food for thought and ironic (though not always intentionally so) behavior that has characterized this campaign season to date. Oh, ye glorious election year.
