Six Cosmological Fallacies

by YTP on May 23, 2008

Check out this interesting link exploring several cosmological misconceptions. It is not exactly in plain English, but it is more approachable than most discussions of the subject. I especially like the ideas about interactions between universes in the multiverse. Here are the six fallacies, just to pique your interest: 1) We humans cannot go faster than the speed of light; 2) Black holes are/have singularities; 3) The Big Bang began everything; 4) The Big Bang created everything; 5) Gravity is the weakest of the four fundamental forces; 6) Our universe is The Universe. Great stuff.
